Does fame and fortune interest you? How about representing the world’s most recognisable DJ brand alongside Grant Smillie, Stafford Brothers, plus more? Or maybe you would get your kicks from playing at one of Australia’s biggest dance music festivals?
The Pioneer DJ Search returns in 2010 with a vengeance. This year, we’re not only looking to give the young, the restless and above all, talented DJs the opportunity to shine, but we’re looking to slingshot an aspiring DJ to the height of Australia’s DJ professionalism.
As the ‘public face’ of Pioneer’s latest DJ weaponry line, you will not only receive a DJ Masterclass from Australia’s biggest DJs, but also have the opportunity to play alongside them.
For those of you hungry enough to take part in this year’s ‘Pioneer DJ Search’, you will be eligible for the weekly prizes on offer, including Pioneer products, merchandise, festival tickets, Beatport cards, plus more.
Some of Australia’s biggest DJs will be on-hand to assist us with this year’s competition, with the likes of Grant Smillie, Stafford Brothers and DJ Playmate (2009 Search winner) given the responsibility to pick a ‘mix of the week’, which will be rewarded.

Ladies and gentlemen, Pioneer DJ Australia and MDS once again team-up together to present Pioneer DJ Search 2010.
Just like Vanilla ICE, Pioneer DJ Search is back with a brand new invention. We made some slight changes to the competition rules and more importantly, we have upped the ante on the 2010 Pioneer DJ Search winner’s prize pack.
Speaking of prizes, this year we have introduced a weekly prize to try and reward the blood, sweat and tears of the DJ entrants.
Each week, a member of Pioneer’s DJ Ambassador Family will have the responsibility of choosing a ‘mix of the week’, which will be rewarded with a set of Pioneer HDJ-2000 headphones.
However, the Pioneer love does not stop there. Just like the BON JOVI tune ‘All About Loving You’, both entrants and voters will continue to feel the love throughout the competition with a selection of competition prizes on offer, including:
- - Beatport cards
- - Festival tickets
- - Signed Pioneer DJ products/merchandise
