Biography

Dj Dubz has always had an ear for music, self teaching himself how to play the drums at school, Dubz has always been keen on beats. It wasnt untill Dubz started hitting the clubs as soon as he turned 18 that he fell in love with electronic music, regularly attending Sublime @ Home nightclub, his love for hard dance music formed. It was not long after that Dubz decided to give DJing a go buying a cheap set of American Audio CDJ's and mixer to practice on. Started collecting his favourite genre Hardstyle, and after months of practice Dubz recorded a hardstyle mix for his friends, they all loved it and were regularly requesting him to play at their parties. It wasnt long before Dubz was a regular party DJ for his hard dance loving friends, word got around and Dubz was requested to play an 18th Birthday for someone who wasnt a fan of Hard dance. This is where Dubz found a love for another genre of electronic music House and Electro, heavly influenced by Ministry of Sound and Hard Dance, Dubz's style of music features pleanty of vocals but also tends to be on the more heavier side of House/Electro. Dubz then made his first house mix putting it on the net and spreading it around facebook. Dubz was then asked to bring a demo down to a night club, this is where he met DJ's of the BeatFreqs events (Malfunction, Demo, Cloudze and Midshifters), they liked the demo and gave him a shot, Dubz playing his first nightclub gig at The Gaff on Oxford st, Sydney.
