| Matthew Lawrence aka Lawless is a house/trance/progressive DJ and producer based in San Diego, CA. Born and raised in the Bay Area, CA, he was heavily influenced by the indie music culture that possessed so much of the bay area. This naturally grew into loving the biggest of the indie electro scene, Justice, Simian Mobile Disco, MSTRKRFT, Steve Aoki and others. It was these artists that caused him to want to DJ, buying some shitty CDJs and starting the musical quest that will lead him to where he is today. It was not until moving to San Diego that Lawless began looking into house music and being involved in the LA rave scene. With the help of a friend, he learned how to produce on Logic 8, crafting original songs and doing unofficial remixes of Jason Derulo, Birdman, Three 6 Mafia, and Drake. More recently, he has done remixes of Tiesto, Yello, and Armand Van Helden for beatport competitions.
