Biography

Since his start into the DJ world in early 2007, Nik Import has certainly taken the Sydney Hard Dance scene by storm. Starting his early career started with Freeform Hardcore, he discovered his love for 'mashing' beats to create a completely unique music experience. By late 2008 he had broadened his style into the Hardstyle, Gabber, and even Happy Hardcore genres, where he uses his long 'mash-up' techniques to layer melodies and breakdowns, creating a truly different and exciting atmosphere. Import's sets always keep punters on their toes, challenging them to think differently about their favourite hard tracks and layering them with the latest hits.

To date, Import has brought his signature sound to parties such as TRANSMISSION, MAGIC CITY, HARDER STYLES UNITED (HSU), SUBLIME@HOME, MASIF SATURDAYS, CRANK@MASIF, HARD VENTURE, ID UNDER 18’s, SUPERNOVA U18’s, BASSQUAKE@NOX, BLACKOUT (Brisbane), RESPAWN (Brisbane), HARDNOX, IMPULSE , HYPERSPEED and SUBSONIC (CAN), supporting a huge array of international artists such as DUTCHMASTER, SHOWTEK, SCOPE DJ, ALUSION, FLARUP, ISAAC, TATANKA, KAMUI, MARK EG, LOG:ONE & WRAGG, SECOND IDENTITY + many more!

Nik Import is now an Australian resident for the popular forum and online radio show FEAR.FM (www.fear.fm) where you can hear his insane beats every week on Thursday’s 8PM AEST.

Nik Import will also be performing at DEFQON.1 Festival Australia in 2011
