CHOSEN REMIX THIS ARTISTS
After listening to all the entries we chose 3 winners, and believe me it was very hard, as many of the entries were exceptional and very creative, but in the end we chose remixes that reflected the direction that Vinyl Pusher wanted the remixes package of Deep Down to take.
We took in to account the demographic (or where the remix would be played) , in what genre Deep Down had already sold heavily to, also who internationally has been playing it and where. A remix pakage that would take the track to another level but not change the total direction of the track!
All of us at Vinyl Pusher would like to congratulate the winner and all of the entrants, for having contributed to the competition, showing Vinyl Pusher the large pool of up and coming dance music producers out there. Keep making tunes and don’t forget , it’s not what you make your music with but what you make that counts. Don Steele. CEO Vinyl Pusher.
Tim Denning His remix is House.... Deep house, the perfect direction of where the original has been and had success, but his remix has more Deep House club feel , this mix I can see being played in Ibiza, Miami and London house clubs without a problem, good energy and totally credible, Tim hit this one for six and we are looking forward to more from him.
Gino Louca This mix is Tek-House , a totally fresh approach to the original and its tuff without moving too away from the house genre, plus he really made use of the parts we gave for download, so I believe this was a very good and professional approach to remixing . He had a market in mind and he delivered!
Seedy Jazz Seedy is very housie, he has a good feel and his mix is very deep. He understands how to build an atmosphere and is not scared nor insecure to keep pushing the fundamental groove of his remix, he shows good maturity, I would have liked the remix to keep progressing to a slamming climax , but where he took it was good!!
